One of our favorite magazines, Monocle, featured El Casco desk accessories in their Design/Architecture Briefing section. Calling them "the finest staplers in the world," the article went on to describe the company’s history. Founded in 1920, the company originally manufactured revolvers. The Great Depression caused their owners to "diversify" their product line, and since many of the machines they owned and techniques they developed could be leveraged to make desk accessories. And they’re still going strong 90 years later.
